Fall

Rushing in like a serene storm,

a cozy current of wind races through the trees,

carrying an aroma of pumpkin spice.

A setting of reflection and nostalgia is reborn.

Like an artist daringly dashing a painting to life,

crisp, crackling leaves cover the ground,

painting it shades of yellow, orange, and brown–

each one different, yet somehow the same.

Floating fog gathers in the hazy sky;

birds enhance this design with colors and patterns.

Daylight lessens hour by hour,

a silent tribute to time’s soft authority.

New solar constellations shelter the night sky,

reuniting with the harvest moon.

Clocks tick slower as dawn grows longer,

dreams and nightmares flowing to a new beat.

Fall is the lighting of a new candle–

a fresh, faithful beginning where the world’s at ease.

Stories of endings and arrivals drift in the air,

a quiet reminder that change can be gentle.
